  • De Haviland Mosquito - Video from Cockpit

Browsing through an R/C Forum and someone posted this.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGfQQWOsoB8

One of my favourite planes of all time and I guess this will be the nearest any of us will get to flying in one.
Also includes some great footage of this Mosquito flying in formation with a a Spitfire and a Vampire.

    Enjoy!

Magnificent aircraft what with it's twin Merlin engines. Fastest plane during WW2, even outran the early jets.

My off-sider is building a wooden aircraft at home. It's a Flybaby and he has built the airframe from imported wood, made all the metal struts himself, etc and soon he will be covering the wings and fuselage in a nylon fabric. Fortunately it's a single seater so he won't be getting me up in that plane.

Check the other video with the Avro Lancaster, B24 Liberator, Mossi, Spitfire, Hurricane and others sporting Merlins. Sweet.
