  • Dear PradoPoint Fairy (for those seeking advice)

    Dear PPF

I have never written to you before and aside from Richo writing you love letters I expect this is the first time any member has.

I seek your pearls of wisdom to a very difficult situation and your advice will be crucial to my decision.

I have suspected for a while now that my partner is cheating on me. All the usual signs are there... phone rings and if I answer they hang up, her mobile is now password locked as is her laptop, she has a new gmail account with a different password, she is going out with the girls a lot but when I ask their names she replies "you know just the girls from work, you don't know them".

I stay up to see if a taxi is dropping her off, but she walks from somewhere up the drive. I have NOT approached her on this matter. I think that deep down I don't really want to know.

Anyway, last night I manned up and decided to check what was happening for myself. I parked the Prado up the drive but just outside the garage so i could easily crouch behind it to see who was dropping her off. I had a great view of the whole street.

As I crouched behind the rig that I noted some deepish scratches from bushes running down the length of the passenger side. Can these scratches be buffed out or should I be looking to repaint?

    Yours in anticipation

LMFAO!!! Can't wait to see the Pradopoint Fairy's response to this very serious dilemma. Congrats to you mlc for fessing up to such a private matter. It's a hard choice to make but I'm which ever way you go, you'll be just fine. Just remember if the scratches are deep, you should undertake some research into rust prevention technology.... (i hear there's some good video's on the subject...)

... didn't think of how the fairy would respond..... dumb plan wasn't it. Maybe Richo knows how this might happen?

as for that advert. That women is exposed to all the rust forming elements but shows no visible signs of rust. I can only conclude either:
      1. She has a small couplertech unit discretely hidden somewhere under that bikini, or
      2. She should NOT remove the bikini.

Either way it does not help my stressful issues. I may have to seek therapy until this issue can be resolved,

I feel for you, the whole situation stinks.
But my advice would be not to rush in like a Bull at a gate, all hot under the collar. The results could be terrible and a bad decision could result in tears. It's important to sit back and have a good think with a beer in hand and do some strategic planning on how to deal with the offending problem.
You want to make choices that won't leave you worse off.
Consider using a professional to get rid of the issue, don't be tempted to rectify this yourself unless you are confident you are able to tackle this without ending up stuck with damaged goods making your life miserable. Remember if this goes bad it could cost you financially, especially at trade in time when your trying to get a younger model.

Good luck with the wife too.

          Mick

Thanks Mick. The kind words are appreciated at this difficult time. I will try to keep my wits about me, although it does trouble me being cut so deep.

These are what is called stretch marks caused by keeping her barefoot and pregnant tied to the kitchen sink so you've only got yourself to blame for her sad appearance.

PS: Just reread your post, it was the Prado, sorry.

                    Dear PPF

I, too, seek your advice. Some time ago, I tried to give MLC a call. The phone was answered by a female, and I just assumed at first it was MissLeeCee playing a joke. But it wasn't.

Anyway, after we got talking we realised that we both loved the same things. Soon, a simple phone call quickly escalated into much more. Actually I can't keep up with all the gmail messages and pics I keep getting. She's quite a looker too.

But I am a little worried. When I try and call nowadays, I often hear a strange male voice - so I just hang up.

The other night, I went to drop her off, but as I neared her street and drove past her house, I saw this crazy looking guy squatting behind her Prado. We didn't stop. God only knows what he was doing - I've heard about snow droppers but this guy seems to be trying to 'buff something out' if you know what I mean. I love Prados as much as the next guy... but this guy looked like he was taking Prado love too far!

Anyway, my question is this: I hate seeing anyone do unnecessary damage to their Prado... so should I say something about the photos I am getting where I can clearly see that the girl's piercings are obviously scratching her Prado's paintwork from when she lays across the bonnet or leans on the passenger's side of her Prado... or do I just ignore it and ask for more pics?

                    Yours in anticipation

I feel for you MLC . My partner once got a Brazilian the week b4 she went overseas , WTF . However back to the question at hand , I have coincidently found that giving the PRADO a Brazilian will also make it much more attractive . I recently gave my baby a pure Brazilian wax job , about 3 times will get rid of all those unsightly bush wrinkles and bring her up pure and smooth as an 11 year old should be . MY CAR you filthy perverts , it's called Mothers pure Brazilian Carnuba wax , get your damn minds out of the gutter . Hmmmmm wonder if it will work on the missus .
03 grande v6 , with added stuff that makes it go places . RTFM people !

                          Gents

The PPF has contacted me and he/she was shocked and astounded at the problem that MLC faces. The degradation on the loved ones appearance and performance is a serious matter as evidenced by the photo of MLC that was circulated after the SA GTG.

PPF has viewed the responses and is suitably impressed with the quality and sanity of the advice from fellow members, so much so that he/she is considering an award system for the best advise on matters such as this.

PPF would like to hear from members as to what they consider to be appropriate awards, eg; monetry (for better surveilance systems as seen on the interweb ), vouchers to the local late night establishment, Frequent Flyer points to allow overseas fact finding reccies etc.

All suggestions will be passed on post haste to the PPF.

See ya on the tracks, Richo, PPF Advisor.
