There are no such thing as a best fridge... There are fridges which would best suit your personal needs/wants...

Who makes the ARB fridge? Is it made by ARB or someone else??

              It's a re-badged Engel Ben.

I have owned an EvaKool 60 litre fridge / freezer for 3 years and it gets used a lot !!!
Never a problem and works very well.
I know heaps of people with Waeco's and they all say the same, as well as those who own Engels.
Comes down to what you like when it comes time to fork out the plastic

I'll vote for the Engel (though mine is the rebadged/painted ARB jobby).

Bought it in 2002 and has beenrunning constantly since then. When not in the truck it does the job as a shed drinks fridge.

A working fridge is always a good start - Try the Engel - they last and last. Also have the temperature readout display on the top.

My trusty Engel handed down to me from my grandfather... It would have to be at least 20 years old and still doesn't miss a beat!! I'd like to see a Waeco still running after 20 years with all it's bits in tact.

Having said all that the Waeco's are still pretty good value and very efficient, more so than the engels I believe...

Waeco's consume less power for the same size.
                            Engels have a metal body.

I have both and run them side by side....The Engal seem to be the better , on all fronts apart from.... . Waeco's not a bad second it wins on weight and power use...lid it is a pain though. Both have a similar capacity...
                              Cheers
