It's no longer a mystery.

Do you know why this plane disappeared? What was the reason or motivation for this event? Who disconnected the controls of the aircraft? Were the passengers alive during the flight? Was there any other communications to anyone from the flight during the flight - apart from the few that have been made public?

It just seems strange that the only piece to be found from a massive 777 Boeing aircraft, including passengers, luggage and cargo was a single flaperon (in pretty good nick, with clear identifiers).

We know when and roughly where the plane went down.

But we still do not know why, how or for what reason.

But this is not the mystery it originally was.

I don't find it strange that we have only found the flaperon so far. The Indian Ocean is a massive unpopulated area.

That's right and there is so much junk floating around all the oceans that, unless they inspect every little piece, it could be years before other bits are found.

.., and it is still possible that the "flaperon" may have been set afloat after soaking in the sea for a few months, to satisfy those still looking for answers.

I know for a fact according the woman in the bakery who was talking to her child's kindy teacher that got it from somewhere that the CIA have been experimenting with satellite external beam nano ray transmission to hack aircraft computers and take over autopilot to control aircraft. Don't be so hard on the Collins. It's a safety feature to prevent other subs from running into them. The French and British stealth subs keep crashing into each other.
