    Re: mmm beer

Don't drink much beer but I've taken a bit of a liking to cider recently - still not a big drinker though due to dangers with diabetes.

MMMM xxxx bitter at the moment, any other time it is anything that is cold and has a alcohol percentage over 4% unless I'm driving then I can settle for cascade light.

I've really been into german and bavarian beers for the last few months. Love the "Weit beers"

Beer is like wine though. We go through stages and different tastes.

I often go to the boutique aisle in Dan Murphys and grab something different to try. Bit like my women :P :P

Little Creatures, that was the BEST place I went to in Perth. Sat back and ate a plate of chilli nachos and looked at the massive stills. In my right hand was a pint of the LC's Bright Ale. Tend to prefer it slightly over the Pale Ale.

But I'll happily drink both

However it's somewhat pricey over here in SA - $65 a carton on sale...

                Cheers,

I visited the LC dining hall in Fitzroy a few weeks back when I was in Melbourne.. beautiful food and even better beer... such a fan of the LC beers. Im in Perth this week and have the work vehicle (poojero  ) so hoping to head down to Freo to check out the brewery. I will have to try and organise (con) someone else into driving back though

Just be careful if your drinking "trois pistoles", a bavarian style beer with 9% alcohol... after a handful of those on a tuesday night you dont feel so good on a wednesday morning at work.

                    Re: mmm beer

Always stuck to Heineken whenever I'm in Europe/UK and was doing the same here but now that Tooheys has changed their New to a similar recipe (they also brew Heineken in Sydney) I don't mind that. Bit cheaper as well. 1 stubby with dinner weekdays and a few more weekends. But the Bundy does go down a treat especially the Red.

                      Hey Samo

                      I found this:

                      "Warning Signs

While it may be difficult to agree on the set definition of an alcoholic, some behavior patterns are useful in deciding if a person has a problem or not. It should be noted that not all people who drink to excess will exhibit the same patterns as others who drink to excess. Some of the warning signs that might become apparent when someone is drinking too much include:

Routine Drinking: Persons who may be heading for trouble will often begin to drink on a daily or hourly basis. As time passes, they may begin to drink within minutes of waking up and continue throughout the day. Of the many facts about alcohol that are agreed upon, constant drinking is well established."

                      Source: http://www.learn-about-alcoholism.com/d ... holic.html

Not that I am trying to tell you anything

I do love a beer, but combined with my love for either Biltong or Jerky it's making me grow a Micky T around my middle.

So I jump on the wifes treadmill three times a week and pound out the kays, then relax with the beer...
