Not since I was 17 and that's what dad had in the fridge. Unless you count the pint you have to try as a aussie in the UK.
These days, it seems to be what's on special at home and a new at the pub.

When I mentioned Fosters I meant their entire range, not just the blue devil that they seem to sell well overseas. The Fosters Range includes the CUB, VB, MB and other labels. I will make one exception and that is Cascade Premium which I don't mind from time to time.

I tend to avoid the CUB lables as I don't really like it and the company I work for don't supply them with Malt where as we do to Lion Nathan Australia and Coopers and a lot of Breweries throughout SE Asia. Nice to know that watching grass grow can make such a wonderful product.

Whatever happened to Southwark? When I worked in the beer fridge as a teenager in Alice there were really only two beers that we sold heaps of and that was Southwark ( Green cans ) and Carlton Draught ( White Cans).

Coopers DB Ale used to be sold in large bottles and I used to look at it and think that someone at the Coopers brewery must have taken great delight in slagging into each bottle before the cap went on. They were the original lava lamp.

Maybe a longneck (homebrew) a night, but just as likely ill go without during the week. Weekends could be anything. As a new south welshman living in victoria i like to fly in the face of the mexicans and try to avoid CUB. I particulalrly like anything tooheys or coopers, Old and Stout in particular, although i think my homebrew dark ale is better

Little Creatures, that was the BEST place I went to in Perth. Sat back and ate a plate of chilli nachos and looked at the massive stills. In my right hand was a pint of the LC's Bright Ale. Tend to prefer it slightly over the Pale Ale.

But I'll happily drink both

However it's somewhat pricey over here in SA - $65 a carton on sale...

                        Cheers,

$2 cheaper in Brisbane at $63 but worth every drop
I'll have to give the Bright Ale a go.

Sorry to bring up an old thread was going to start a new one but hought no !!! this subject must of came up before and after a bit of a search here it is any way I LOOOOOOOOVE BEER and LOOOOOVE drinking local brews in the Swan Valley especially from The Iron Bark Brewery favourite at moment is Carlton Drought , Kilkenny & Guiness but would be lucky to drink 1/2 a carton per week if I drink much more than that I get an attack of the old gout so I make up for it with the Strongbow originals and would be from 1 carton to up to 3 per week depending on social outings , also fond of red wine but again that also attacks my ankles and knee's and with out fail the last week and 1st 2 weeks of the year I think shit I wished I had of said no

                                Re: mmm beer

Very happy at the moment, Woolworths Liquour have crownies or Boags Premium 2 cartons fro $85.00

I have also discovered Woolworths Thai Lime & Chilli Cashews (yum), not as hot as wasabi peas, but they go down very nice with a coldie or two

BTW, a simple "beer" search resulted in 34 pages of references
