These were taken on the North West Coastal highway somewhere, maybe south of Fortescue (WA). As we approached we're thinking... what IS that on the roof of that ute?
We were doing 110km/hr and the dog makes it's way up the back of the cab and onto the roof. We think the two guys in the cab worked it out just before we passed them and were slowing down (they were doing about 80km/hr) - not sure if the dog travels this way all the time but for as far as we could see in the rear vision mirror, they didn't pull over and put the dog in the back... Maybe this is a familiar sight for station mobs, but it sure did look funny at the time!

The second pic he doesn't look happy to be up there (tail between legs) but prior to that he was moving round up there like it was just another place to walk around...

      just catchin' some breeze...

eta didn't have to block out the number plate - didn't have one

I saw Today Tonight (last night) and watched the segment about a lady who see's dead people and takes pics of the energies.
There were some interesting pics of mist, orbs and comet like trails of light.

.... and it reminded me of a set of pics Andre took on his year 7 camp at Rottnest Island.
The kids went for a late night bike ride .... and this is what they saw .....

Make of them what you will ..... but there's some rather strange pics in there

        Cheers

It looks like what they call "Painting with Light" - it's covered here http://www.diyphotography.net/painting_with_light

I've tried it before but didn't choose a dark enough setting so you could see ghostly images of me walking around with a camera flash

Our state government has banned plastic throw away shopping bags on environmental grounds.

The ones that break down in UV light are now gone with the Doddo Bird, the thick plastic or hessian/plastic non-biodegradable ones are now all the go (and you thought Queensalnd had some odd ideas  ) Any way, i was at the fruit and veg and there on the counter was a stack of re-usable shopping bags to be bought and used, and proudly written on the bags was I'M HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT, NO PLASTC BAGS, and ofcourse they are individually wrapped in a plastic bag  :?

Not that I have actually seen this,it was an email that just came through. Surely they wouldn't allow this on the road in this country. In Utah however it maybe another story.

                Class lll Hitch Install

Wouldn't you love to see how the trip went, reckon he ended up doin' some off roadin' somewhere. Check the 'hills' in the background.

She's hitched up and ready to roll! Amazin' how the extra weight smoothes out the ride.
Needed to air up the rear tires a bit ('bout 160 psi).

Added some heavy-duty chain for extra support on the tailgate, (note the 'Heavy-Duty 'S' hooks to attach the chain) Also paid-up for some BIG 5/16 sheet metal screws to attach the frame to the tailgate.
Yep, probably overkill, but didn't want the possibility of having an axerdent. !

Most of the time was spent on the front porch whittling down that MASSIVE 4x4 to fit precisely into the ball mount receiver.
Note: The 14"x14" piece of 3/8" plarwood on the underside of the tailgate to distribute the load more evenly.
Dang it costs a little more but y'all can't be too safe yer'no!!

I tell ya, once this happened, I went to fill up the wife's car - pulled into the servo, and while I was filling up I kid you not, the fuel tanker pulled in. I just wanted to get the hell outta there!

Yep .... the panels are too soft to push on.

The bar is for when it constantly breaks down ..... and you get the passengers to push the thing to the nearest repairer
