the only donk that would require a turbo like that, which I've seen installed in Samsung shipyard, would be out of a cargo ship or super tanker... The diesels coming in at around 3 stories high and the covers on the crank cases to access each big end bearing being the size of a standard door...

Not sure whats in navy ships, but i believe that they are gas turbine... Where'd the pic come from?

Reckon you could squeeze it in. I wonder how hard it is to remove the bolts to the exhaust after a year?

        • Some years ago in Rockdale, Sydney, I saw a sedan driving along the highway. Obviously the father driving, with the teenage son sitting on the passenger side, feet in vehicle, bum on the windowsill, but he was sitting outside the vehicle, with one hand holding onto the inside of the vehicle and his other hand holding down some long sheets of plywood. No roof racks, and the sheeting not even tied down with rope.

              • Neo Socket - It slices!! It dices!!!

I can't believe people are still wasting their hard earned dollars on performance chips when for $5 you could get all the benefits and more with one of these little beauties. All you need is a spare cigarette lighter socket and you're away

                http://neo-socket.blogspot.com.au/

Neo Socket is the latest technology, a breakthrough invention and patented device that could save fuel consumption by 10-30%. The 100% Japanese made device was first launched in Hokkaido, Japan and it is presently being used in the United States, Canada, Australia,United Kingdom, Germany, France, Middle East and Asia.

Neo Socket also helps improve car's engine acceleration and the performance of on board equipment such as stereo, air-condition and lights. It also provides more horse power, longer battery life and higher throttles response. Neo Socket, gives cars cleaner emission and helps reduce carcinogenic emissions that are responsible for Global Climate Changes (GCC). That means less pollution and more clean air. Neo Socket is proven safe, convenient and easy to use. Just plug-in into the 12V cigarette lighter of your car and Neo Socket starts working instantly.
                Your safety is paramount

                Warning
Installing device to your engine, adding chemical or even putting tablets into the fuel tank may increase the risk of car damages. (e.g. traffic jam)
                WTF!?!?

                  • Funny thing i saw today at Ti Tree in the northern Territory, we stopped the Pado and hopped out to go into the local community grocery store and as i walked up the path i noticed a Mitsi sedan with a totally stuffed right rear tire parked in front of the shop. When i had a closer look the tire was almost gone completely gone but the car appeared to have been driven into its current position, You guessed it out of the shop came a local indigenous family, mum with 4 weeks old bubs, dad and two other older kids all hopped into the Mitsi and i thought to myself this will be good, but no sweat they backed out then drove up the RHS (wrong side} of the road to ensure the stuffed wheel was running in the dirt. The car turned off after about a kilometer and was lost from site. I was very pissed off because i few days earlier in Elliot on the Stuart Highway at an all vehicle stop i got defected because the front windscreen had a crack in it and not only do i have to have the windscreen replaced i also have to get a machinery (green slip i think) then get the car inspected again by the transport department. Not happy Jan. I was going to say to the copper" the bloody rock came from the NT so how am i to for the crack"but thought better of it.

I could take photo's of nearly every car here and not one would pass a defect test.
I was changing the little tacker the other day when she heard a noise and asked 'is that a plane?'... but no, it was just one of the local's cars driving past the house

                          • Leaving an SUV Unlocked in Canada

There are no scratches on the outside of this car, but the vehicle is totalled!

A man in Waterton, (Calgary), came out to find the inside of his 18 month old Toyota Sequoia trashed.

A grizzly bear had somehow got a door open (easy considering the way the handles are constructed)
and once inside, got trapped when the door shut behind him. Probably by the wind.
The Toyota was the Platinum edition, all the door panels were ripped off,
the headliner torn to pieces, all headrests, the leather seats, the dash shredded.
The steering column was twisted sideways.
Two of the six airbags went off, the other four the bear ripped to pieces.
(...You can imagine a trapped grizzly being hit with an airbag in an enclosed space!
He must have figured he was in for the fight of his life...and by the looks of this car, he won the fight.

When the bear ripped off the door panels he also clawed all the wiring harnesses out.
Toyota figures every wire he pulled or clawed at resulted in alarm bells, voices or sparks.

The head mechanic at Calgary Toyota doubted if they had the expertise
to put this vehicle back together, even if they had enough parts to do it.
And, to add insult to injury, the bear took a big dump in the back of the SUV
...and then broke out the rear window.

Fish and wildlife officers have inspected the damage and figure it was a 3 year old Griz.

The vehicle has been written off by the insurance company.
The cost of this fully optioned vehicle new was over $70,000,
and they stopped counting repair costs at $60,000+
