Crikey, we haven't had that much rain in the last three tears

I do recall In high school a new teacher being surprised when the entire class got up and went outside mid lesson once when it started raining.

anyway, rain is all over now, it lasted nearly 2 minutes though!

Heard a strange noise so went outside to investigate and there is this strange liquid falling from the sky, I googled it and apparantly it is something called rain

I vaguely remember seeing it a long time ago, hopefully if it keeps up for another hour or 2 we might even get enough to get the entire ground wet.

Seriously though, we have had less than 1mm in the last 11 weeks, will probably still be under a mm after this little shower but we can live in hope we get more.

We were in Alice a few weeks back and while sitting outside the lightest shower passed over us. Juliet (miss 3) looked around and asked 'who's wetting us?'. We've been here (8 hours south west of Alice) 9 months and have had 1 hour of rain on December 18th. Considering December is meant to be the wet season here, doesn't look like we'll see much of the wet stuff for another 12 months.
It's definitely a big country... Floods in one place, fires in another and absolutely nothing here

No, it is a new product the dumbarsebar.

There is a brand spanking new 70 series ute out here with one, it was fuelling up the other day while I was at the servo. I don't know why but I expected the owner to be a 70 year old cocky. Alas no it was a guy all of 25 years old. His neck was very red though.

G'day Andrew,

One thing I did notice on the GTG was how scarce the water was, even if it did rain for the last bit.
It wasn't hard to see how dry it was in Sth Aus.

And thats coming from a place where we have had 26 &1/2 inches of rain over night, with by far, the bulk of that falling in five hours.!!
Standing in the gutter in front of my place the water was half way up my thigh. Just rain water running down the road to the creek and out to sea.

So,,,,, Andrew, if you wish to run out in the rain and dance, Go for it,,,,,,,,we will understand and be happy for you.
