          A hand through the moon roof I suspect. I have resisted putting anything over mine as I see it as a last resort escape hatch when driving through water and mud.

              Yes you are correct the attachment point fitted to the front and rear of most armored vehicles in this case a rebuild M113.
              Are used as tie down and recovery points. But the recovery involves steel cables tow or winch or "A" frame draw bars.
              So the points are not shocked loaded.
              At no stage does the army use snatch straps or snatch type recoveries in general daily environment.

                I need more info. What size are the bolts? Are they High tensile steel? Would you trust a squaddie to do a snatch recovery?

                • More info, ok they are damm big, welded to 3 inch thick steel, etc. Actually the winch on the other army vehicles is mid mounted on the side, very smart setiup. Just wondering how I slip it into my bumbag...
