You could always try something a mate did when he found a big carpet in his kayak up in the rafters of his shed... As my mate was not Australian he asked a true blue Aussie mate how to move the snake on without hurting it. They don't like fires was the reply so make a small smoky fire in the middle of the shed floor and it will be gone next morning. Steel shed with concrete floor so all good. Nice smoky leaf and green grass fire. Worked a treat. Snake was gone, nice smoky flavour to the shed. Except... Shall we say the snake was considerably lighter when it left the kayak? No smoke could fix that smell.
