South of Arkaroola but about the same latitude (or is that longitude?). Actually are you allowed to drive up there? I had a funny feeling that the ridge top tour at Ark was in their vehciles only?

Bill has a friend called Betsy. Apparently she really gets around. I believe they spent the night together but they wern't together for the converstion. :lol:

we only did the North-South track and looped back on another at Bendleby and that view doesn't fit... we didn't find the gnome either!


Looking at their website, they have the exact track in one of their pics.. but don't name it I'm going to guess the Billy Goat track?

We have a winner.


The track is the Billy Goat Ridge track. What a hoot that was. Loved it.

The Bendleby Ranges is about four hours north of Adelaide but east of the Flinders Region. This is just north of the town Orrorroo. The area is split into two ranges, the north western side is the Bendleby Ranges which is easy and fun while thge south eastern part, about five ks away, is the Hungry Ranges. Both are very enjoyable and can be completed in two days.

I struggled to find a map on the web but they give one out when you go there which is very good and names most of the tracks. Billy Goat Ridge was rated as the highest level of difficulty so I felt good making it to the top. It wasn't that hard but just required careful vehicle placement, patience and a lot of constant L1 momentum. A few knocks and bruisers but nothing to worry about. Was good to get to the top but wanted to do it again.

Its getting real hard to find a picture that isnt too obscure or to easy, hope this one isnt to "out there". Its my work computer desktop.
