              yes Schaffer...too easy.

Mt. Terrible hut on Mt. Terrible track, off the Eildon/Jameison Rd.
The hut was saved from the brink of demolition, after it had been extensively vandalised.
Several groups have had a go at looking after it in the past, but no-one officially now as far as I know. ( cxept me and a few mates when we can )
If anyone is interested in being the caretaker, let me know.
It's a great location to spend a night or two - speccy views over to Mt Buller and Mt. Skene.
Gets a lot of visitors ..hopefully it'll be a little better looked after in the future.
              Cheers, Wayne

Wow. Sorry Oz as I didn't mean for it to go off so early. I've never been there and was only a guess. There is a heaps cool website with imnages of several of the huts. Dosn't show Mt terrible but these look wicked:
                high Country Huts

I especially like the one sunset of Wallaces hut and Jamiesons hut:

I had read an article on the web a little while back about a couple (Ron and Shirley I think) who passed this way. I recall they stopped at Mount terrible with the fire tower. Sounded an interesting name and had just stuck in my mind

It's OK I don't mind it went quick ...I am just happy to be able to share a place that is quite special to me.
Huts are also my passion - finding, visiting and fixing them. Nothing like a good pic of a historic High Country hut in it's environment is there.....

I wish I could post one of the shots of the hut with my Prado sitting in front of, especially that winter shot of Jamisons, but that will be another time.

In the mean time here is one before the rig had a visit to Dr ARB:

Tell me where I might find this photo being taken.

My guess would be the wind farm on the Tablelands towards Ravenhoe, but the grass looks a bit dead and dry. Also you can see them when normally they are hidden in mist from the misty mountains.
