I thought it was pretty easy once you knew it was on the Tanami track, its the only real Parking bay / Camping area along the entire length, Bore water tank and shelter with picnic tables by the road, and a number of camp spots down behind the old windmill. I would suspect given the toatal lack of anything out this way that anyone crossing the Tanami would have stopped here for a quick look.

My problem is all my time in that area was for work. You can bet your bottom dollar if it's got an airstrip nearby I've been there. I asked the granites dude again to get the answer...I would suspect given the toatal lack of anything out this way that anyone crossing the Tanami would have stopped here for a quick look.

Renehans bore is situated around 35kms North of Chilla Well on the Tanami Track, the Explore Oz link lists Chilla well as its location, you could easily say that Chilla well was located Renehans bore, just depends on which place you choose to name the general area. Chilla well is a windmill on the opposite side of the road that is even difficult to get to on foot due to it being overgrown, Renehans bore is a signed rest area and a great spot to camp.
Interesting in the explore Oz link the author didn't think much of this as a camp spot, "you either have to camp on the dirt or in the scrub" I am not sure exactly what you expect from a roadside camp in the middle of the desert, mowed lawn and an on suite maybe
Oh, and yes the clue was Rabbit Flat Roadhouse.

Ha! That took a bit of googling. In the end, I found a Tanami Track trip report without pictures that went into detail of places and distances that helped. I think you picked a good one, not many pictures of it on the web...
Anyway, where is this, and what is about to happen:
