    Are the prados in your pictures the same as we get here?,,,,,,,,,,About 13/14 years ago when it all went bad over there they stocked up on pajeros.......they were set up like troopys and had only a fuel gauge and speedo......no tacho or odometers fitted........they sat around here in Darwin for a couple of years waiting to go over there and be UN vehicles.

      Dan, Mate from what I know the Prados were built buy Toyota for the UN. They are povo pack every thing. The wheel are too small the spare is under the back. They have a single tank. If I get a chance I will try get some up close photos of them. The normal prados over here are from all over the place. I saw a shorty 120 today but did not have a camera. It looked good.
      Most those Pajero's got tourched in the 2006 riots. The UN is not the liked organisation here.

        Yeah i figured that.......i've been there plenty of times mate.........stayed at the Timor lodge.........i was a contractor for COP on their rig.

        Yes i saw a 120 shrty 3 days ago in Malaysia...RX with full leather......looked good to,they are common there but even the 4 door has no sub tank as the spare is underneath.

              With quite a few new members I thought it might be time to revive my favourite thread!

              The basic idea is someone (me this time) posts a pic from their travels, preferably but not necessarily with the Prado in the picture. Who ever guesses the location correctly has a turn to post a picture from their travels and so on. It has been in the past a very active thread as you can see by the over 3500 posts, its good fun and gets the mind going for new and exciting places to visit.

              So my pic below, I don't imagine very many of you have been there, but if you read some of my trip reports you may well know where it is

                Yay, I'd forgotten about this thread. One of my favourites too.
                My first thought was Chambers Pillar but it's not. Out in the center somewhere though.
                Can't we just keep travelling?

                        Its around 1500kms west of Chambers Pillar, much redder and significantly more remote and harder to get to than Chambers Pillar, which is pictured below for those not familiar with it.
