There was a fair sized settlement there back in the day. The tank is something again, buttressed on the outside with quite thick walls. I'll dig out a photo or 2.

Strangways telegraph station is the name Cookie120, the watertank is unique, looks like a building but without doors, was last there in the mid 70's.
