I was staggered when I read that...sounded plausible too.....It had not occured to me......but I don't think that is right as Thunderbolt's rock is a granite outcrop....see here...



The mystery spot? looks almost manmade....like a giant transformer figure but it may be natural...looks sandstone not granite as well, beats me though...I don't think i've seen it...though i have seen Thunderbolt's rock.

yup...the Lithgow lost city is far more rugged and isolated...but I was trying to stay in the game......I know pathetic and sad...... :cry:

Yep good old Split Rock, just east of Dunedoo as you say. Believe it was due to the Fig tree that grew in the crack which eventually separated the rock.
