Could it be the hut near Dove lake in Tas. Cradle Mtn National Park I do not think it is Waldheim lodge ( not sure of the spelling) I walked that area in the early 70s .............( yes i am an old fart)Spara

Spot on Strahan.
Photo with the cabin is the ski village on top of Ben Lomond. Photo was actually take on Christmas Day 2006. We were in Tassie on holidays from the West and saw snow on the mountain from Launceston while having lunch. Decided to take the kids up to see snow as they had never seen it before. By the time we got there, there was only small patches in the shadows as the photo shows. Second photo is the road up to the summit. It's called Jacobs Ladder and as the name suggests, its very narrow with lots of tight turns climbing up.
