                well, there aren't too many rivers around SW WA, here are some more clues.....

                the bridge crosses the river on a road which was in pioneer times a stock route where farmers would drive cattle to the coastal moors in summer for feed,
                the cottage dates from the 1870s and was a trout farm once but now a holiday spot,
                the forrest is jarrah and Marri but not far from some Karri.
                the local tennis club was once a soldier settlement school in the 20s.
