Pretty close Photoprado, this is about an hour out of Wodonga heading towards Corryong.
During the early 80's when my brother was studying at ANU in Canberra, he and several of his mates had the dubious distinction of being sent home early from a forestry expo in Myrtleford for drunken skylarking. Unfortunately for them they only made it as far as this pub before the allure of a hair of the dog overwhelmed them and they soon settled in until well after closing time.
When they finally arrived back in Canberra their reception was a little less than cordial and it was obvious that they had not been drinking that either and so they were in trouble again.
I happened to drive past this place last year and thought I would take a few photos and email them to him for a bit of nostalgia. He couldn't even remember where it was :?
These days he holds a responsible position with Gunns Industries in Tasmania and probably tries to forget those wilder years.

Sorry about the tilted horizon. Yes, the water is green There are normally snakes in this spot, but not today...

I'm being a bit devious about the beach:

1) It doesn't really have a name, but it was a surprise to see it for the first time. Why would that be?

2) It's not sea water.

Well done droggy.

We went to have a look at a vineyard's attempt to withstand the extreme lack of good water that has befallen the area in the last few years. Sobering sight to see beaches where there was water last time we visited.
