  • ANZAC Day 2015

A thread in remembrance of those that have served for us.

    Lest We Forget.

Post any photo's of the dawn services you may have attended or how your celebrate the day.

I attended the Buddina Memorial (Sunshine Coast), attendance was incredible, easily triple the amount of visitors from the last few years.

The RSL had organised fireworks/gunpowder shots at the beach nearby to simulate the gunfire @ dawn. It was different and special.

Hope everyone else has a great day!

I was at the dawn Service at Anzac Square in Brisbane City with my eldest, Hazza and his son as well.
A very large turnout his year, about 20,000 apparently. A moving remembrance as usual.

    Cheers

Samford service. Fantastic turn out officially opening the new Avenue of Honour.

      We will remember them.

Logan service with the scouts this year. Sunrise was particularly impressive this morning (or maybe it's just been that long since I've seen one).

Dawn at RAAF base Amberley this morning, and an absolutely massive turn out. Would of been at least double the amount of last year. The unfortunate thing is I can see next year being back to the normal. It was great to see the Scouts present at this service again, and a bigger than normal presence at the 9:30 service I also go to.

Dawn service at The Entrance. Huge turn out and no rain. Been great watching the attendance grow each year I have been going and interesting to see how many came back next year.
