What's with the new Pradopoint banner.

    What's with the new Pradopoint banner.

    I am already over the new banner at the top of the posts. Looks like spam.

    Do these banners help pay for Pradopoint? Would be nice to know what they bring to the forum. If they don't bring anything to the forum, do you think we need to keep it, or trade them in for better banners, such as having a random pic of Pradopointers prado's put up in lights.

    Food for thought.

        I am only guessing here Gordon but are you refering to the Google ads banner? It has been there for a while now so I am not sure if that is what you are refering to.

        I must confess that I am not seeing anything new in the way of a banner.

              They provide funding to run the site.

              If you click on one this site gets cash.

                I am guessing that many would not see it if they have there ad hunter filters working. I know that when I have mine selected I do not see the google banner.

                    I don't rekon they'd be doing much business for the site... They do look rather tacky.

                    IMHO It would be good to have a few sponsors adds up there... That should do the trick in regards to the funding and I'm sure there'd be plenty of companies keen to have a crack it.

                      Dunno about that, i was checking out FJ Bruisers forum in America and it seems like every 5th or 6th message was a whopping great advert for some product or another, ruined the continuity of the thread for me.

                      I'm all for having some small ads but lets leave them at the top where you can ignore them if you want.

                        All I can say is that I have never seen anything. But awhile ago I noticed the pop-up blocked task bar icon flash. That lets me know that there is a pop-up. but I have never clicked on the bar to see what the pop-up is. I hate pop-ups. Maybe I'm not helping the site by not clicking????
                        As it stands, I have 266 pop-ups blocked...

                        And there is something that I have learnt for the day. I didnt know that was the history of the pradopoint header. I know that car. must be the most viewed pic on the site... Once a pradopoint prado, always a pradopoint prado......

                          I thought that the pic of the 120 is left there so that everytime wengnuts visits here he remembers his first real 4wd... then there was the Poooooooootrol (how could you do it wengnuts :shock: ) and now the Delica.... what's that wengnuts ol' man... do we hear the calling of another Prado 8) .... come on.... you know you want too :lol:
