Renovating my house and collected a lot of aluminium and copper (including an old copper boiler from the roof). All locked up securely in a shed away from prying eyes. The girlfriend got on site today to find some arsehole had helpfully cleared the shed of all aluminium and copper. F%cking prick.
I have a suspicion the culprit was a delivery guy that delivered some special doors yesterday and had to put them in the shed for security. The shed was unlocked by the builder for that purpose. No one else really had access. Might deliver my old exhaust to the delivery guy via his rectum until it comes out the top end. Yes, I'm a touch annoyed, I work hard and this jerk thinks he has some right to take from me. Damm right he does as long as he wants to receive a little more than he bargained for.

Reminds me when we built, spent hours stacking up all the leftover bricks.
Mr kitchen fitter thought he'd just park his van right over next to Them and load up instead of do his job.
on the second day I pulled him up with the second load, yep he had to unload and bring back the others too, can u imagine all that labour for nothing????? Very embarrassing for him.

mlc feel your pain. When we built our place I ran some heavy duty 3ph cable underground from the road to the property boundary 250m away. Trimmed the cable at both ends and had about 8m to 10m or so left over ready to strip. Took the pieces to the block and left them under a tree. Left at dark on the Sunday and came back after work on Monday and the offcuts were gone. Hope the steel wire armour bit whoever knocked it off. Not as if you could see anything from the (dead end) road so someone local was keeping an eye out. No one else had built around at the time.
I wasn't happy after pulling the cable for 2 days. Gets a bit tedious when it weighs something like 7 kg/m.My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

When you reply to a for sale ad on the internet, get a reply email, email them back again to say "yes, I'll buy your item thanks", then ring them to confirm payment details and, before you click on the send money for the EFT payment, they ring you back and say "sorry, we sold it yesterday." Guess I should be happy that they rang back before I sent the money.Dave

Going down into an underground carpark, observing the height sign and getting in okay. Then coming out and cracking both end caps on the north south roof rails because it is a different height and is not indicated as such?
Can you buy the end caps as a separate item?
Cheers

Black roof rails with yellow morse code like marks that won't buff out... not pretty. Sent management a nice email stating what happened. At first, they palmed me off and told me to use thr alternative entry around the corner. Man did sh*t hit the fan... I emailed back saying that if you are going to state 1.93m clearance around the entire shopping centre, what difference is it going to make if I go through a different entrance? I attached a quote for new rails from Toyota also. Week later, they paid for it and raised the clearance bar slightly.
Pradogang, yes you can buy just the end caps. I have all the part #'s. will find the quote and get back to you later with it.

Having your air -con regassed then having to take it back the next day cos they missed a leaking pipe. 2nd regas was gratis but then had the fruit on them to ask for payment for their time spent welding AND try to hand me a quote for replacing the entire cooling system. All I wanted was the air con regassed.97' Prado VX Grande Emerald/Silver, 3.4L, auto, Bilstein shocks/ Dobinsons coils 2'' lift, breathers on everything, snorkel, Maxxis Bighorns. Coming before Summer, Uniden uhf, spotties and with luck a winch bar.

Must have been a pretty bad leak for it to leak it all out that quickly. They normally use a gas detector and check the joins around the condenser, pump, firewall connections, regas vlaves, and been a grande check some of the joins running under the floor pan and the two pipes running up into the rear evap on drivers side rear, and also is detectable on most occasions by running a dye (normally green) added to the gas through the system which can then be detected by looking at the available pipe joins prior to a regas so they can detect any leaks before wasting gas, not always able to do as you may have a leaking evap/tx valve which they cant see till they pull the thing apart which there not going to do on a general regas. In fairness to them, charging you to fix the weld fair enough, their not there to work for nothing, BUT for it to leak so quickly they should have detected it prior UNLESS you have never had it regassed before which I doubt been a 97 model ??. Hope they put enough gas in for the dual system been a grande (hope it was weighed out which for these sytems is normally around 780grams for memory. The gas now thanks to Julia has sent the price of the gas through the roof for refridgeration. A bill for replacing the whole cooling system (presume your referring to air conditioning) unless required I would have laughed at them. I certainly would be changing the workshop you used next time round.....The old 90's are ingeneral a great system and work well....Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

I just received the camera I ordered to replace my front view one as I had been using a reversing camera and wanted to have the picture the correct way round. It's title on eBay was 'Car Front Side View Forward Camera Parking Mini Color Cam - None mirrored view'.
I plugged it in and - you guessed it, it's reversed
Luckily I only removed the heat shrink on the connectors to try it first without removing the existing one.

Specific front and rear cameras makes sense. However the reversing camera on the ute swapped sides when the main battery was changed. I thought there must be able to swap by doing a Microsoft reset. Anyone else seen that?My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic
