Mine must be full of bloody viruses as Im getting that many pop ups, I go to a link even from ones on here (eg youtube clips) and it sends me to a bloody site telling me how much money Ive won, if I want to go back a page I have to refresh current page then go back, it may go back or lead me to a gambling site. We have top grade virus protection, pisses me off we spend money on protection, for what ?? going back to Harvey Normans computer centre to get fixed up..........Cheers Steve

Yeah we nearly went apple samo but decided to stick with windows. I do find I get the same pop ups people have just mentioned at the bottom of the screen which I also have just found they only started in the last day or two but only on my iphone 5 not on here. On here I get some this shit all the time [IMG][/IMG] bloody annoying.....

Do you have malware bytes anti malware installed?, it sounds like you have installed something and not unticked something on the installation so now you are getting all of their crap

Norton products suck the life out of any windows PC...I have said before Norton is shit. All of my clients that have Nortons, don't anymore. And god help you if you ever put Norton on your Mac....holy crap.

Ditch Norton, even AVG free is better than Norton. Better still..ditch Windows all together.

As a Microsoft Engineer and Apple Engineer i can say in a unbiased way that even today OSX (Mac) is far less prone to malware, viruses and the like.

I use Trend Micro worry free Business on our work computers and servers.

Well, I make my bread and butter as Windows Network Admin (as well as Switching and Routing) + Desktop support.

At home have been using Avast! on all my laptops/PC's - my servers running Symantec Business (benefit from work) - the one server that cops it more than others is my media server. But that is because it is my main Usenet server, that has CouchPotato, SickBeard and Plex on it.

We have at home, iPhones and my girls have iPods - as well as me having an iPad. Though I have more networking tools on my iPad than anything else.

I'm running Windows 8 as well, thought Firefox is my main browser - though for Windows 8, I run Pokki - as it gives you the traditional start menu on the desktop. Though the odd time I play a game or two, the blood charms come up!

Definitely get rid of nortons , you will notice a huge performance increase , get AVG and the Malwarebytes software , if you want i can pm you the links

I had the same problems with Nortons till I got rid of it, drove me nuts and installed Kaspersky Internet Security. No problems now, it just runs in the background and lets me know when it blocks any nasties without any input from me. Best of all no ads or popups. About $45 a year. Also run Firefox.

I'm with you Ozpat,
I dumped Norton & now run Kaspersky One, everything is faster & no popups for a while now.
