Got it in one RanJ. We get the same with the way customers treat our ladies on our public front counter. Then I go out and ask them if they'd like a detailed tour "out back." Most decline that offer.

Never understood that mentality. If you've got a problem... jumping up and down while ranting and raving won't speed up the process. Its not until I remind people that while I'm out here helping them... Im not in the workshop helping their car. Most people see the point.

Had one the other day that told the young girl that if his wasnt parked out front and ready to go by 4pm (the original ETA) then I could rip it all back out and give him a refund. I called him at 3:45 and said I wont be done until about 4:30 because of his previous attempt to install his alarm. Should I finish up or rip it out and refund him his cash in which case that wasnt a problem and his car will be ready to leave by about 4:45...

Wasnt so smug then.

Try working in retail, ranting about having to pay for bags does not get your purchases packed any faster people! Whilst I realise we are there to serve customers, we are not responsible for the decisions of head office. Telling them to lodge their feedback with someone who can actually do something about their complaint just falls on deaf ears.

Could be worse, they could have given you 2 right hand panels and no left panel like ours. To their credit they did courier me over the correct part within a few days, would have been really annoying had I needed it the day we assembled it.

And then there's another 20 minutes spent cutting up the cardboard boxes with a stanley knife in order to fit it into the recycle bin. Will need 2 bin loads.

Gotta love that! That's why we get a lot of customers asking us to unpack their purchases in the car park so they don't have to deal with the rubbish. It's only a problem when we then discover their massive purchases will still not fit in their tiny hatchback or standard sedan boot.

Last year a mate invited a few of us over to his place to christen the new BBQ. And yes we had to build it first while he wandered around be the cordial host. At least that meant I did the cooking so how do you like your steak? All rare. Did you say well done? Sorry about that.

How many times do I have to visit Telstra to get my address changed? I also told them again that I don't want a posted bill - they charge $2 for the privilege. So, I've been in 5 times and also updated my details online. They even sent me an email confirming the change but the posted bills are still going to an old address. I watched the girl do the changes on their computer in the store (twice). Yesterday I told them that they owed me $8. The girl apologized and said she would give me some vouchers for the donut shop so I could get coffee? When she went to get the vouchers she came back and said that they were all out of them. I said well I'll expect $8 off my next bill. Then Telstra has the audacity to send me an email asking me to rate their service.

Try getting them to correct your DOB which they entered incorrectly.

When you call and they ask DOB as part of confirmation it is you.
