Number 2 son asks if I can help him return a mattress to Ikea in Innaloo - they want to charge him $90. So I drive to his new digs (Canningvale) then to Innaloo and return a total of 170km. Have you ever been to that place on a Saturday? Holy cow, never, ever again. It must be meeting place for all the nut-jobs who can't drive or park. Kids - the things we do.

Neighbour's 200 LC getting carted away on a flat-top. It's his toy hauler so he is not too happy. Doesn't know much about why it clagged but muttered something about Toyota reckon it's probably had a dose of bad fuel. That old chest nut.

Toyota is not immune. Though I must say I liked the F150 until I saw this.

Saw a newish Ranger on a flat top between Meeka and Cue a couple of days ago. And then a little further down the road saw the big van without car attached parked up on the side of the road with a not too happy looking purple rinsed nanna standing guard.

Yes. My mate's just needs to have the mounting bracket welded back on and reinforced to prevent a recurrence. My trailer needs to have a mudguard hammered back into shape. Easy. Gave me an excuse to use the winch. My long draw bar can be a pain sometimes. It bottomed out and my right rear left the ground resulting in no drive at the rear and front just spun uselessly. Lokka goes in next week in time for Tas GTG.

Besides, it was good to find a use for my mate's 150 as an anchor to winch off.

Watching your mate rip the spare tyre from his camper whilst making a reasonably hard crossing north of Meeka. (Yes, he runs Prado GXL rims on the CT).

Inconsiderate trail bike riders . Don't get me wrong . Most do have a brain . We were on a drive thru the condamine track today with the 4by club which includes about 14 river crossings. Anyway we had a about 13 cars and when a couple of cars came in the opposite direction they were told there was a few more coming so they stopped, but the trail bike couldn't wait & took off . I was in front of tail end and as I had just got the back wheels out of a crossing on a blind corner , round came this bike . It took me half a second to stop but he slid about 5 m trying to stop then some how made it round me instead of stuck on my bullbar.
This could have been much worse. He could have scratched my bullbar, upset the kids by wrapping himself around it , or created a disturbance which would slow our trip down. Damn kids !
