Just been through the same 'cesspit of angst'.

Had to make a heap of noise to get a temporary phone supplied and our number diverted through, couldnt do anything about the internet or business line running in the same cable. WTF??

Tell the contractors they should have rung Dial B4 You Dig, and there is a letter on the way from your lawyer. Their laziness/stupidity shouldnt cost you 1c.

Talking about contractors taking a wrecking ball to your house.....

Some friends of ours are renting. Their landlord lets in some workmen to do some work in the bathroom, without their knowing anything about it. The husband comes home at lunchtime to find a guy walking out the front door with a heap of tools etc.
          "Who on Gods Earth are....."
"Talk to your landlord buddy"....... "Oh and by the way we broke that big vase you had in the entryway, can you smooth it over with your wife?" ..... and walks off.

The big vase turns out to be a little expensive.... Landlord wants nothing to do with it. Workmen's company refuses to pay for it.

Needless to say they are building their own house and can't wait to move out.

That would really PMO !! Hold back the majority of their payment until they pay for the line to be fixed. Get in contact with fairtrade or your lawyer. They should be insured for this type of stuff anyway.

Unbelievable some of the crap some people try and pull, under the tenants act the owner (or persons on behalf of the owner) can only enter their rented house to do emergency repairs without prior consent, and if they damage anything while they carry out those repairs they need to pay for the damage. That is why all tradesmen should have insurance, if they don't - refuse them entry. Go to fairtrade (not sure of their name WA??) or a lawyer.

                Totally agree with Spurio,

Treadespeople who dont give a damn about peoples property or belongings is one of my pet hates. I compete on a daily basis with these wankers, and unfortunately most people make decisions purely on price.

To be honest i have created a nice little business fixing nightmare scenarios left by rock-ape tradespeople, so i shouldnt complain, but poor service tends to give the industry a bad reputation.

I also believe that people should complain more. Go to the relevant authorities/lawyers etc and make people responsible for their actions :!:

I dont think Pradopoint has enough memory to publish my rant on here, so I will just have to bottle it up inside until the next moron cuts me off and then I will let it all out

Don't bottle it up, just let it out. I'm certain we can handle it.

Things that tick you off... Having to take your car back somewhere 3 times to get something correctly fitted!! Arrgghgghghghhghghhhhhhhgggggghhghghhhh!!

I got rear air bags fitted... incorrectly... and they ripped the nipple out of the top of the bag the first driveway I pulled into!! So bring on set number 2!
