A few weekends ago the wife and I went away for our anniversary down to a place near Donnybrook. Now whilst the place we stayed at was fantastic, I do have a gripe about a few of the breweries/wineries down that way. How can a brewery stock t-shirts, caps and bucket hats, but NO STUBBY HOLDERS! RIDICULOUS!!!

Sick to death of being told how petrol vehicles are supposedly unsuitable for 4x4 outback touring and you NEED a diesel...

My petrol prado has a touring range better than most diesels and gets way better economy than the overloaded vehicles they seem to drive in the articles I have read. Petrol is also cheaper to buy, service and overhaul.

I am yet to find somewhere in the country that only sells diesel and have only heard of a mine on the canning where diesel is only available.

Yeah the water crossing thing is understandable and the lower exhaust temperature is good if you are on the canning but when old blokes in camping grounds warn me about getting water in my distributor just makes me wonder if everyone is stuck in the 80's and if late model petrol vehicles are going to cut out before a new common rail diesel??? I'm sure they both have a number of electrical connections under the bonnet which could cause them to stall..

Had I found a 90 series diesel at a reasonable price I would have bought it but it seriously pisses me off that they publish this stuff leading people to believe they can't leave the city in a petrol vehicle. Maybe a prado with 160L of fuel standard is an exception to the rule and now I should just sit here smiling knowing what it's capable of.. Done

People who come here from foreign countries and want us to change our way of doing things because they have been doing things differently for a lot longer. What do they take us for? They consider Australia a third world country that lacks our own technological expertise and treat us all like we are some kind of crocodile dundee dickhead.

We are not stupid and we have a nack for working things out and doing it "our way".

You don't want to drive a petrol vehicle into some of the Communities. They have been known to get the fuel tanks pierced and drained.

Hey I have heard that one and have probably driven through communities where that has happened but have only stopped long enough to get fuel which is what you'd do in a diesel anyway!

The last two times I have come home from Kilcoy/Kingaroy people are soooo rude on the road.
On Monday a car was doing 70 -90 in a 100k zone. Not that there's anything wrong with that. BUT, if you had a line of cars 20 long behind you would it occur to you to pull over at any stage? From Woodford to the Bruce highway at Caboolture :evil: :evil:
Not to mention the car doing 50k/h in a 100 zone closer to Kilcoy... and not it wasn't a farmer traveling in-between properties.

I hear ya Leon.. Lived in Kingaroy for two years and the traffic on the road to Brisbane was a joke...

Every driver should be given two RPG rounds per year as part of your registration, to remove irritants like that from the roads.

when you spend $320 to fuel up 2 cars, $220 diesel for prado and $100 for 98 premo for the crumbledoor :x :x . cheers samo

Don’t you just hate it when you go shopping, and deliberately park the furthest away from another vehicle as possible, and have 50,000 vacant parking spaces in the shopping centre, only to return and have two morons parked on either side of you – leaving 49,998 free spaces that aren’t beside you - that they could have used :!:

I seem to be a magnet for other drivers who don’t like to park alone.
