          I'm with you there Lionel, mine was hit last week. Also on-line gambling. What really annoyed me was they took my card way over its credit limit. The bank asked me if I wanted them to change the card so that it couldn't go over limit in future! How stupid is that - I thought that was what the credit limit was for?

              I got home from work today to find a letter from the UK from the A******s who ripped off my credit card asking me to go online and confirm my details. Obviously there was no way I was going to do that but I did ring my bank and they said it was because my card had been cancelled and they were just trying to get my new card details. I googled the name of the company and they do come up as an online gambling place in the UK. I was just shocked that they would have my full address as well as my card details!

                Mate that sucks. I hope the bank reimburses you. Otherwise that's 7.5k of potential prado mods down the drain

                  Fortunately for me that was Lionel not me - mine was a lot less than that. Still waiting on the bank to reimburse though.

                      Credit card scamming is painful. We have a second card with a limit of $3k that we use on line and OS to minimise the hit on the main card and also reduce the pain. However last year I got a call asking if I had bought 10k worth of car parts from a place in Italy. Turns out my order was placed at about 04:00 and used the main card! So the scam was from someone local. No to all the questons and the money and penalties reversed. Eventually. Mongrels. I just hope the parts failed and the Ferrari (yes it was a new ECU for a Fezza) broke down somewhere really inconvenient!

                              Whilst on the topic of being in WA - why is it that National news programs often ignore WA? I have seen a couple of current affairs shows lately where they look at what's happening across Australia but they don't include WA!
