          • Instruction manual for new 2 Din Head Unit that states 'use M5 x 8mm screws' and you hunt round to find them, finally get some M5 x 16mm to cut down and discover they don't fit because it's some funny imperial thread anyway.

SGS - hope all recover quickly.

            • Bloody Perth weather that lasts the exact duration of my visit. P1$$ed off. I head back to Radelaide at the same time it cops the ridiculously high temperatures.

              Not happy Jan....

                • One of my work associates down in Esperance lost his 17yr old son on Christmas morning to a car crash. The young fella was racing his commodore against another bloke in an Mazda RX8 and lost control crashing through a power pole and being ejected from the vehicle. He died shortly after the crash.

And you thought your Christmas was average.

                        • Just a minor thing but the uploading of images as an attachment to a post is ticking me off a bit.

                          1. The thumbnails are aften so small you can't work out what the picture is and whether you wish to view the full image or not.

                          2. It might just be my computer; but it often takes ages for the full size image to come up, and then the full size image is often a bit small anyway.

                          3. you have to be logged in to view the images, which is no big deal except potential new members cant see them, and may not realise the full value of the forum and as such not join.

                          Cheers Andrew

Dave aweful news. It puts in in persective, one minute they are here and the next they are gone. Life is so fragile and you have to cherish every minute.

                            • People overtaking on the Jindabyne highway with only *just enough* room to make it. Over 100km/h in both directions can meet very quickly.

People overtaking on the Alpine Way near corners and missing a head on with me by literally metres! Twice!!

On a positive, the big fat wombat I saw at 11pm NYE moved very swiftly off the track
