      • Bike mechanic called today and turns out the 'funny noise' is fatal. Would cost more to fix it than the bike is worth. Silver lining though, I've almost got SWMBO convinced to let me go shopping for a new one.

        • When you pop down to the shops, are inside for about 10 minutes and come out to find a 4 panel full length scratch running down your car!! The A$$clown who did it was considerate and left a similar scratch down the 4x4 parked next to mine. Thankfully it didn't go all the way to the metal. Have to find something to hopefully polish it out with!

And what's with this new trend of multiple car pile-ups on the Kwinana Freeway because of fog (smog)? They're probably so engrossed in their phones and on-board multi-media that they crash. Idiots.

Driving too close for the speed, coupled with inattention.

Sydney is the same. I know the rear door of the Prado is high but if I can only see your passengers forehead and eyes in the mirror, you're probably too close.

                      • Wonderful Sunday, stopped for a cuppa in a rest area 100km w of Halls Creek only to find the top of the thermos has come undone and leaked the contents on the floor. To top off a good stop, when leaving the steering feels different and you find a stake through the shoulder lug of the front tyre.
Decided not fix myself and now having a beer in the best caravan park in Halls Creek while waiting for the tyre place to open tomorrow and see if it can be fixed before heading down the Tanami tomorrow.
                        All up, could be worse.

                        • Possibly going to get sprayed here. Fog lights are for fog? Dazzling fellow motorists is not cool. Bad enough from a Mazda3 or Flacon. A 4x4 with high fogs in their bars are really difficult to face especially on dusk and at night. Don't start me on the badly focused Great Wall 4x4s. There seems to be a lot of guys out there who have upgraded the bulbs to make them even brighter. Add a trailer or van and "bloody hell" they make travel unpleasant and dangerous.

Hey Bushy, had a windscreen fitted in your old home town and didn't look at the price and don't plan to here
Should be fixable but either way it has to be fixed before the dirt roads.
As I said, could be worse I could be at work...........
