    Mum flew back to Perth from NZ on Saturday so just missed it. My son's GF is over there visiting family and is having a few issues due to major roads being damaged.

      A number of my wife's family live in Kaikoura, all ok and minimal damage to their places but they aren't going any where anytime soon
