  • Who had 4WD's as their wedding cars? Pics Please!

Ok, Who had 4WD's as their wedding cars? Any interesting stories to go with them?

We had a stretch Limo & a Series 1 SWB Landrover, especially painted (with brush) and brought across on the Boat from Tassie. It was my mates, and we used to have a ball with it. We had a bridal party of 11 and everyone wanted to go in the Landy. I remember driving along the Freeways at a top speed of 80Kph driving people nuts. Will post an image once I get one scanned.
    Cheers - Phil Taylor

I used an old white hj47 troopie.

I have a picture some where ?? It is in one of those mega-expensive wedding photographer albums, that now sits on the shelf next to the $20 Kmart ones.

I'll see if I can find it

We used my father-inlaws 80 Maroon Series about 14 odd years ago. I've got some piccies but they are the old nasty 35mm variety. Would need to scan so will do later when I have time.

This is a photo of a wedding we did at Roma, 3 prado's as wedding cars. Funny thing the groom was a Nissan man. Have a look at the bar on the middle one.

LOL, must get the looks from her mum ?? Na serious she looks great, love the bullbar.......On a more serious note, your daughter looks beautiful and hope she had a great day. I would imagine your wife and yourself are extremely proud. So much expense goes into a wedding these days, did she pay the $1500 for the hire of the prado lol ?? Thats what it cost my wife and I for a streched limo american yank tank.........Any other day would cost you couple hundred bucks............Cheers Steve

A proud Dad has a picture of his beautiful daughter near his "dressed up" rig. So what you ask? Well I chuckled at the name of the photo... its all about priorities

My wife and I had 4wds at our wedding in 2010. First we priced the stretched Hummers and at $900 per hour cost, with a minimum of 2hr hire per vehicle, we thought no way. Plus we got married in Toowoomba, so the cost to get 2 from Brisbane/Gold Coast to Toowoomba & back again would've been rediculous. We settled on friend's and families 1 @ 2005 GU Patrol (Silver) and 2 @ 120 series Prado's (White). They looked great with the light green ribbons on.
2005 120 series V6 Grande, 2 inch susp lift (King/EFS combo), 32 inch MT’s, Safari Snorkel, rear diff lock, breathers, Light Force spotlights, UHF, dual batteries.

MLC, trust you to notice the file name! The priority was to make sure I posted the right pic.

And thanks to everyone else for comments.
