    I wanted to update mine but could not because of the new restriction.

      Ah that explains it then. I went to insert my signature, car, accessories etc but ran out of characters. I wondered how others had done it with what seemed like 500 characters.

        It has been lowered to 200 characters as we really dont want signatures 3 miles long filling endless pages.

        You "Can" however link to your website or as page about your prado in well under 200 characters :wink:

        You can even stick it in My rig section and link to that..

                Guys am I missing something regarding access to email addresses of members? Was just wanting to include my email address in the members area like we used to be able to do under the old board. Doesn't seem to be coming up in my profile. Is that by design and common consensus??

                Just thought that as long as the email addresses are in the Members area then only members could view them, and only if the member chooses to make their email address available. I see there is a radio button saying "members can contact me via email" or something similar but then how does that work?

                  You or members can communicate via email in Profile section there is radio buttons there, this stops robots form harvesting visible email addies..

                    Hmmm I really must be missing something as if I look up myself in the members profiles all I get is the option to contact via PM and not the option to contact via Email. There is the radio button in the settings that turns on the ability for people to contact me via email, but if I look for the option to contact via email, I don't seem to have it listed anywhere. Tried looking at some other members profiles too and no dice. Any Ideas??

                        Cheers TP. Break away! I thought it could be a Firefox thing as I do find some wierd stuff on webpages when browsing with firefox. But logging in with IE nets me the same thing. It's almost as if my account hasn't been "enabled" for email communicating. I don't suppose you could post up a pic of the way it's meant to look when you have the email option? Just to make sure my brain isn't selectively screening things out of my vision.

                          Ok well I received the test email ok. But I still don't see where I can choose the option to send someone an email. Can someone rub my nose in it??

                            IRON-PAWW - I think you go to 'User Control Panel', 'Board Preferences' then select the "yes" button for "Users can contact me by e-mail". :idea:

                            If this doesn't work, then I have no idea either. :shock:
