  • Show us your Christmas Lights.

Well, as I am still off work, I have no legitimate excuses - So I spent the day dragging out the Christmas lights, locating and replacing dudd bulbs, and then balancing on our two storey home trying to get the damn things to stay put with masking tape and fencing wire. All without electrocuting myself or stringing up the cat

Anyway, here is a pretty average shot of my pretty average christmas light display. I am sure there are other Pradopointers out there who really really get into this sort of stuff - so why not share your christmas lights with us

As I said, here's mine to get the ball rolling.....

Re: Show us your Christmas Lights.

For once I am glad that my dear wife talked me into buying some lights to string up on our front verandah(a case of trying to outdo the neighbors and support Integral Energy).
Banging a few nails in to secure the wires, the hammer sunk straight into one of the balcony posts to reveal a colony of termites happily munching away on my house
Now with a bill approaching $2000.00, the pest contoller will be eating ham off the bone, washed down with a tall glass of Dom Perignon, we will be eating Spam off the can, and the termites will be eating each other
Still, It's fortunate they were found in time, if they had gotten into the roof beams they could have caused some real damage.
Still, the lights look spectacular though, especially those reflecting off the black Prado in the drive

Well you could always have a good old termite fry up and have a bush tucker theme for Xmas dinner, just like Bear Grylls does in his Man Vs Wild show.

Re: Show us your Christmas Lights.

Interesting subject as just the other day we decided to travel around the normal haunts to see the lights. It seems as though most large displays have all but dissapeared and there is hardly a light show around. Having inquired with people around the state the situation is similar in most places.
Seems like lots of people have been squeezed in the credit crunch and can no longer afford it.
Now the only light show we see in town is the passing Storm.

              sorry to hear that plucker.

the christmas lights around Orange seem to be getting better/more popular each year. We normally do a drive around Xmas eve like everybody else.

I want to decorate my garage this Christmas with colorful lightning. I want bulbs, electronic accessories, and all other lightning stuff. Please suggest any good online Christmas sales on these items or any kind of other discounts you guys know such as christmas coupons. And if you people know an online store that has ready-made fully decorated Christmas Tree with lightning then let me know. My Dad is coming to visit us this Christmas after 3 years and I want his favorite place to be decorated.
