  • Bluetooth Probs

Hi all, I have recently been having problems with registering, adding and any other function with the Bluetooth. It is a problem that comes and goes. It comes up with an "unavailable" message more often that not. It went in for a few warranty issues last week and you guessed it, it worked when they looked at it. I tried to register the wifes phone today and no go, so I thought I'll drive straight down there now. The whole way there it wouldn't work, get there and show the bloke, it works. Get home, no work.
I think I'm gonna have to record it on my phone and show em.

Anyone else experiencing the same prob?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Bluetooth Probs

Yes mate, I've experienced similar problems. I noticed this particularly when I had two phones registered. At times, when I switch between them, my phone (Nokia 6120i) would sometimes not register. On the other hand, my wife's iPAQ would always register successfully. When I only had my Nokia registered, it always worked.

For a long time now, I've been using my Garmin's bluetooth capability. It has never had a problem with either phone.

I would need a bluetooth protocol analyzer to figure this one out - though I suspect the end result of that would only be a lot of finger pointing between Toyota and Nokia. I'm happy with using my Garmin, which also has additional bluetooth capability.

I hope you discover a solution, 'cause I would like to see mine working reliably too.

    LFaR.
