            Re: Hello from BP caboulture

Once upon a time, I refused to take technology with me on holidays... part of the whole "getting away from it" mantra. That's when the only technology you could take was a portable TV, a boom-box, or portable tape player (pre-cursor to the iPod revolution for all the kiddies out there ).

Now, technology has just got too damn useful to be left at home.

            Nice one Snaga.

BTW, last time I used McD's WiFi it cost me $5, and it had to be linked through my Bigpond Account. I guess things have changed... bewdy!

Agree regards the technology... there's a fine line between getting away from it all and just taking it all with you

I was just going to use my plans connection but then the free WiFi showed up I thought... beeeuwdey
              I think it's limited to 50MB or something :?

                Re: Hello from BP caboulture

When I last visited America in 2005/06, I loved just how many spots had free wi-fi connections.

I had a small notebook with me and whenever I had time, at airports, in coffee shops, or whatever, I could just often access a free wi-fi connection and easily read the news headlines from home and make/receive emails from home. All for free

Can't wait to we get better coverage here in Australia.

ps. Perhaps this thread ought to be merged with IT talk - WiFI
