  • An Organic Speed Bump In Gloucester NSW????

    Hi All,

This was just sent to me by a friend and I thought it was appropriate to post up on here as there are quite a few PradoPointers who frequent this are of NSW. The email was titled A Speed Bump, quite an impressive creature. This photo was supposedly taken on a back track in Gloucester NSW, you can see the date on the photo:

Edit: I think this can be debunked as BS, Anacondas do not live in Australia.

You know you are probably right, the person who sent it to me was not the person who took the shot. I was a bit taken aback by the size of the snake but now that I look at it it does look like an anaconda doesn't it and I know we don't get them in Australia. There are places in the Barringtons that are rainforest in looks but I take your point about the nuber of tropical looking plants. I would guess it is more South America somewhere rather than what it was portrayed to be.

Anyway it is a jolly big snake, I have a friend touring by 4wd in South America at the moment he took his troopy over there and is making his way from the southern tip all the way up. I expect he will have a few shots like this when he returns.
