I am going cold turkey.. two weeks with no Prado.. three more to wait until I get my 'fix' !!!!
I never hide my "mother bear" anything i order for mods, however, let me tell you how they were all "passed the QC" from my wife

      - to get new tyres, she very agreed with me that new tyres would be the best for our rig (although she never known what is MT or AT or BFG or MTZ )
      - to get new lift suspension, she was happy to get a higher view and better feeling.
      - to get new speakers, she was very happy to have a better listening music system.
      - to get new DVD and LCD all around, she was very happy to use them on the trip.
      - to get new roof rack and roof box, she very agreed that it can be used to keep many stuffs on.
      - to get new air pump installed, we both agree that it is very in need if suddenly tyre is flat.
      - to get new dual battery, she was very happy to have stronger battery system in case one is flat.
      - to get winch, she absolutely approved because she actually saw one of our member in the forum stuck in the mud before and had to use the winch.
      .....
she always feel happy at the end to approve any of my mod, although she said would never go 4wding with me again LOL

PS: Believe me, if you tell your missus that mods will give your car better performance, and safer than before, she would approve it in seconds.

We all know that the value of the original rig will be nothing comparing with the mods it will have on. Well, but it is very curious how you did with more than 75g on a 120 series (it was 120 right?) Did you come to shop all the times?

LOL This is exact the same thing when I started with photography gears, starting with entry level gears in very short time, then learning and going up with all pro - gears in no long time later, end up with several big/long/heavy gears that my wife always asks me "why there are need of more than one body and more than some lens?"

          • See my build up page for the mods I did, or see issue 168 of 4WD action. Yeah burnt 20g on top of the purchase price over 8 years of ownership. Been in 4wd action twice...

            • ahh, missing point. I thought you bought your rig, then spent more 75g on top for that 120 series LOL.

Yeah, over 20g for over 8 years is something very easy to understand. Even with my cheap rig, the things i spent for it should be over the price i paid for it before
