Looks like a sturdy beast Mav, but a comfortable one at that. Looks nice inside! A real caravan / camper trailer cross if ever I've seen one. Looks like a good layout too, nice and spacious. Can't quite make it out.... do you guys sleep where it folds out at either end? Yeah beds fold out at the ends and has sides that stop the kids from rolling out during the night.

And who takes a microwave camping?? I ask you......... :?   We will now

Seems to have a decent bit of clearance from the pics. I think you guys'll get it to some decent places and do pretty well with it Mav. You errrrr.... gonna put Foxtel in it???
It will get to a fair amount of places but it is not a Kimberley Kamper. Austar hmmm, now theres an idea - NOT!!!! Bad enough we have it at home. Though I will be getting a small LCD TV for the kids to watch their DVD's on.

I thought I would just get some quotes to see what the transport companies would charge to do this and holy smokes I am certainly going to go and pick it up myself. The cheapest so far has come in at $3520.00.

We are looking at an outside slide out BBQ similar to what the Goldstream campers have and an exteranl shower plumbed to a HWS. Possibly a air con as well.

            Re: New Camper Decision Made

Well I have arrived in Brissy to pick up the camper and well let say it is a lot bigger than I had expected. I must have been looking at smaller models in the past as this camper is quiet large. The tyres are in excellent condition and are Bridgestone Duellers. It has had a few mods done to it like extending the rear wheel carrier out to enable 2 jerry cans to be carried behind the wheel and it also has a 50mm tow point on the back to take a bike carrier extension.

                  Re: New Camper Decision Made

The photos at the start are the exact camper. I am pretty impressed with the ease of the power roof, no cranking just flick the switch and up she goes. I will take some photos when I get home, I have to find a storage location for it now. Oh and I just discovered that the previous owner gave me the TV antenna too, one of those real expensive jobbies. I know cause I was just pricing them up this afternoon and thought whoa! that will have to wait. Lucky now I did not buy one as I raised the camper tonight and there was the antenna inside.

Well I am heading back tomorrow, setting off before midday hopefully for the return leg. I have not made a decision yet as to which way I will go. I might go down the New England to Tamworth and cut across as the road is better than the Newel HWY.

I do plan on using the camper on the way home, don't see why not as it has everything in it. The guy even gave me his tool box, actually two tool boxes.
