Nah, they don't own a pajero  they don't even have a 4WD - they're not interested  But yeah, if we're going off road for what ever reason they're the first ones in :?

Our can't do withouts are the Coleman Hot Water System - although on our recent trip out to Carnarvon Gorge, the caravan park in Roma and Takarakka both had excellent camp kitchens. Also, a little 2-cup stainless steel stovetop coffee perculator that Jeff picked at a thrift store for $35 is priceless!

If it has to be just one item, then it comes down to my Trangia. It wouldn't be the same to go camping without it.

                  Cable Ties,Electrical Tape,Stubby holder(s) & don't laugh a bottle opener.

I run a winery so when people find this out they always crack out a bottle of their favorite to talk about, so seems to come in handy. Don't know much about wine though but after half a doazen stubbies you can be an expert on anything

We have experienced the 'need' for all the previous posts. But there are 3 things that we've learnt to always carry with us when camping nowadays: insect repellent (tropical strength), a can of insect spray and a can of surface spray:

 The surface spray is used to create a insect free buffer around our pantry area in particular and to prevent the invasion of ants in particular.
 The fly spray is to remove any mosquitos that happen to sneak into the mozzie proof tent before the doors shut, and hopefully to dissuade any other interested contenders from coming in.
 The insect repellent ensures that you don't come home a couple of litres lighter and with small red dots all over your limbs.

We also love our Aussie Camp Oven by Southern Metal Spinners, SA.

Its very sturdy and has multiple cooking applications: roast, bake, smoke, fry and boil. This mob also does a very good skillet, which we also always take with us. Highly recommended.
