I'm sure I could find room in the back to install one of those
From memory though they are expensive to run and not always guaranteed to give a good nights sleep

A chamois, very useful for taking the surface water off everything when it poured rain last weekend.

Lots of thin nylon rope, not the cheap bundles from the two dollar shop. (I've found good old Telstra rope is the best 8) )

I usually pack a few rolls and allways comes in handy for clothes lines, extra guy ropes, rigging up over head lighting with the twelve volt fluro' etc etc.

Re: What is your one "Can't Do Without" Camping Item?

I've decided that my "Can't do without" item is my Coleman Hot Water on Demand system ..... and not because of camping

Got home from a great day out to find the 300 litre gas hot water system had pooped itself and spewed water everywhere.

Looks like the tank has ruptured somewhere up inside the guts so I shut down the mains flow to the system and turned off the gas.

Don't know if you've ever tried calling a plumber on a sunday night ... none of them answered.

So I have a temporary solution in place ...........

The Coleman Hot Water on Demand system draws water from the sink ... you have to leave the tap on a little so the sink doesn't empty ...

... and the hose runs up over the top of the shower screen and attaches to the shower head ...

Knew there was a reason I spent money on camping gear

                  Cheers

We couldn't do without our fridges ( a 3 way gas one if we have a big camp plus a compressor Waeco 40litre in the car )
Makes the whole holiday a lot easier.
                      Cheers, Wayne

Oh there are so many, but a good torch keeps the camp happy.

Chippy, we had almost exactly the same circumstance last year when our ancient hot water system finally ran out of steam. We rigged up the Coleman HWOD system, worked it hard for a few days until the plumber was able to start and complete our conversion to an LPG Rinnai instaneous hot water system...it worked a treat!

I tend to use this cooking set all the time in the places where we can use open fire.

Also the PRADO would be on top of the list as it got all other the camping stuff in it
