... but when it was my turn for a shower I just turned the tap on a little ... and it kept the sink topped up

Endless hot water .... until the gas runs out

Still ... a quick and easy fix ... and the new gas boosted solar HWS goes in on Thursday

I tend to use this cooking set all the time in the places where we can use open fire.

I like this set up... Is it something you made or can it be bought somewhere?

I think they are called firestix or similar. I saw them recently mentioned on another site and thought about knocking some up. They look the goods.

Thanks Ken, Looks like they are from Darren. Found this in your link:

Darren Mcrae at Auto craft / Assassin Offroad (03) 5221 1371 in Geelong manufactures them, $150 and you get 2 uprights, cross bar, 2 hangers and billy pourer in S/Steal, it all slides into a heavy duty 1000 x 50mm pvc tube with screw cap

Yep Mick, Darren makes them. At one stage we had 3 full camp ovens cooking on it without any issues and it doesn't use much storage space as well.

I'm interested in buying a cooking set from Darren, maybe he might want to post them in the Vendors section and see who else may be interested :?:

                          Done !

In its own thread in Vendors section.

I make them up myself, not really a "work Auto-Craft"thing, just a spare time at home thing.

It is one of my camping essentials though, so many options, can be doubled up, crossed
extra hooks, and works better than chain hooks, because its more stable.

Jimmy's Thunderbox. I can't believe how simply and effectively this toilet works.

The prospect of doing any form of "toilet squatting" was the one thing that was really concerning the Mrs about camping away from everything (and everyone) else.

Jimmy put her concerns to rest and couldn't have made my life any easier.

                              Cheers,

                              Alchemist

PS ...and we now have a new code-phrase in our family for when someone needs to go to the toilet... ie: 'off to visit Jimmy' (even our five year old uses it)
