I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this but............. portable speakers and ipod. There's just a point where the "natural atmosphere" just gets... well... boring! I'm quite the fisherman so sitting there waiting for a nibble with nothing to do but listen to birds chirp and flies buzzing around isn't all that entertaining. Anyway, I only use them when there aren't any other campsite setups around. Yes I'm considerate of others, unlike those people who run noisy generators day and night! You know who you are

I've got one of these on order, seen one being used on my last trip and can already tell you it is going to become one of my essential camping items.

I saw something similar at the leisurefest last weekend. Except it was a lot larger and they had coal on the plate and rotisseries coming from the sides...

Actually that's quite a different concept ( looks like something out of a horror movie to me  )
I like the biji Barbi concept because it's simple and folds up small. Only needs a few coals or briquettes, or a portable stove, underneath it.
Well we'll see, mine should be here any day.
              Cheers, Wayne

Point taken. So why a biji barbi and not a simple cast iron skillet?

Yep they are great, but this is lighter, has legs built in ( so you don't need to find rocks or something to prop it on ) and the handle folds in.
I guess I just like good design.
I thought for less than 100 bucks delivered ( with bag )it is worth a try.
Anyway I'll give a report once I have used it a few times.
                  Cheers, Wayne

My one item I always have onboard:
For those that have not seen them they mount under your aerial mount on the bullbar and at under $20 one of the best accessories from ARB.
