Hey gang, instead of hijacking Zooks thread for the Finke Desert, I thought I would start this to
show you all the progress of our off road mod for the game rFactor. This game is a $50.00 download
from some dudes in the U.S. We at EWE are a "mod group" and our modwork is for the love of the game.
No finanical gain what so ever. I run a forum for the mod and our online racing community also
no financial gain, only run off donations from members for server hire, website and ftp access for the mod.
Anyone familiar with online gaming and mod groups, we do it for nothing but the appreciation from those
who download it. Yes some who download it and wait for mods to finish think this is a full time job and you
get abused sometimes cause it takes too long haha..
Now with that in the clear so the mods know what this is about, without further adue, here are some screens
of the work so far.
Pasted from the Finke Desert thread
I have just seen this thread, but as you can see by my photo below, this buggy would suit this track hehehe.
We have a track maker for the mod we are doing, and any information on the Finke Desert Rally would be awesome.
Mainly need GPS locations, or a Google Earth location, and the trackmaker will go from there.
Any photos you have of the track itself, whether it be trackside buildings, run down old cars, trees, scenery
would be a wicked asset to our team. Our site is in my sig if anyone is interested.
Mav, it would be a great asset to our team if you can give me permission to post some of your photos on our website
for our painters of which I am one of them, we will use some of these photos for references on paint schemes for
the buggies.
Funnily enough, we have modelled a Pajero, and I have requested a Prado from the modelling team, and they think it
will be easy enough ahhaha.
Picture of our V8 Class 1 Buggy in production for the game.
Cheers
