whats the point of having an index 120 series discussion only < Tyres/wheels when someone asks a question about tyres a reply comes back that this thread has been done before and locks the thread? Yes l know it has been asked before but some are 12 - 18 months old. There is only so many questions you can ask about tyres and if they have all been answered why let anyone start a thead? I thought there might be some new and up to date information that people might like to give.

It's not that hard is it :?: ... add your question to the end of the exsisting thread, which will bump it up to the top of the list and when it's answered the thread will be up to date again.

Reducing duplicate threads makes it easier for others to find information and the search feature is much more effective.

        Re: locked out

I locked your thread for the reasons already stated above, whats more is there are two threads on the same forum page as the one you started regarding the same topic. All we ask is that instead of starting a new thread on the same subject that you simply select the appropriate thread and attach your question to it so that future readers and searchers do not have to jump all over the forum to read relevent information.

              Re: locked out

While I understand what you're saying, the problem is that if you are asking a question that is kind of related to, but not answered in a thread, and the thread title is slightly related to the question but not really then people will see the thread title and think that there's nothing really they are interested in, whereas if you post a new thread with the question they will read that and then be interested in it if it is the question...
Okay I probably make no sense
For example, I posted a question about full (front and rear) air suspension, which got locked because there were already threads about it. The closest related thread I could find (there was nothing at all about front and rear air suspension, only rear) was "Airbag Man Suspension Photos" or something like that... pretty well unrelated to the main question..

                Re: locked out

...or you could just contact a moderator (there's one for each forum area) and seek advice. :?

From my experience, the forum mods are pretty understanding 8). Anyone who's spent a little time on the forum will know this. Sure, the search function can be a challenge, but what's wrong with scanning the existing threads first... you might even find something else you didn't know.

And when all else fails - pose your question. IMHO... the overwhelming majority of pradopointers will do all they can to try to help a fellow member. If you ask any of the long-term pradopointers via a PM or email - I'm sure you'll get a helpful response.

I sure did when I first joined, and still do from time to time  .

                  Thanks
I was thinking it would have to be something like that for no product to exist... I would love a air front suspension with fancy control system like the discos, but that's impossible I guess...
