    Tag a long Tours

    Hi all

    My wife and i were planning a trip next year (possibly the Savanna way) as our first real tour. Due to circumstances the group of friends we were going with have pulled the pin one way or another. Very disspointing.

    As it is always better to travell in groups in the outback, can anyone recomend a tag along tour company or something along those lines?

    We don't want to put it off again but want the safety in numbers etc.

    The tag-a-longs always look so $$$$$. We'll be going Bris - Darwin, Kakadu, Litchfield, Savanna Way, Normanton, Lava Tubes, etc back to Bris next July.

      I have done a few trips with Vic from Great divide...... personally, I think they are great.

      This tour.... "Across the top' looks great. It is a very personal decision (and a confindence thing) using tag along.....

        Cannot fault Great Divide Tours.
        Have done one through the Kimberley last year and intend to do the High Country in January. They are self catering and accommodating, and Vic Widman supplies very comprehensive guides for spares, food requirements, equipment (and hire if needed), hints and tips on everything to do with camping. Even his Missus gets to have a say in planning!
        We tented all the way in the Kimberley but some of the trips are camper trailer friendly.
        If you are lucky enough to get Wayne Desmond, aka WD40, for a guide, he is a true bush mechanic who can keep you on the road with his repair jobs.
        I couldn't fault anything and we had a ball!! The cost is per car, not per person and all camping fees, entry fees to sites and parks are included.
        I would 100% thoroughly recommend GDT.

          Thanks for the feedback all.

          We have a goldstram pop top camper so any tour would have to be camper friendly as we have two kids under two.

          Stephen, send me a pm about your trip planned. Yours is very similar to our "Plan B" trip. Might be able to team up.

          Will send Vic an email for more details.
