Alice Springs is just one of those places that it attracks folks from all over the globe. Some people rent expensive campers, cheap dodgy sprayed painted clapped out old vans and others bring their own. This pic was taken in the middle of town near Coles. This is a MAN offroad truck with a body on the back. A big V10 twin turbo cat engine and so much torque to pull a small town. Its good to see these type of vehicles, you just dont see them all the time. I have a few other pics of other vehicles, ill post them once I find them. Anyhow I this this is awesome enjoy.

Re: 4wd Trucks in the Outback
Hope you dont mind me adding my pics to this thread, but I saw something similar last year in Exmouth.
Mobile Phone pics sorry
Isuzu truck, with jet ski on top. It had a Hiab on back to lift the Jetski down.
Heaps of fuel & water capacity, and the boat was as big as it looks.
Some people set themselves up really nicely, and make sure they are comfortable on the road
Cheers

Re: 4wd Trucks in the Outback
When we crossed the Simpson earlier this year and we arrived at Birdsville we shared a night with this:
A local Adelaide tour group. The driver took up most of the car park out the back of the pub and didn't seem to care, but why would heNick
