    Coleman Hot Water on Demand

    I see that Kmart currently has the Coleman Hot Water on Demand units on sale for $269.00 (see page 22 of the catalogue).

    Might have to lay-buy one at this price.

    Excellent deal, however they're pretty cumbersome for a shower due to having to turn the unit on/off all the time. I plan to have a spare jerry to fill with hot water for the shower. Then use a Primus 12V shower pump setup rather than having the Coleman in the showet tent.

      Ditto D4D's comments re the shower...
      Probably one of the most useful things we had in our camp last weekend at LCMP.

      10lt of water nicely warmed for a couple of baths for our Lorelai and then again for our friends little boy.
      Washing up water... so much quicker than boiling it.
      Actually made a couple of coffee's this time too. First thing in the morning and I couldn't be bothered to boil a billy so the HWOD in HOT mode was just right for a quick brew.

        I dont know how many K Mart have each time they go on sale, but whenever I ring they are always sold out. (I have to ring in advance, as Im about 50km from K Mart.)

        Should keep this thread going as as "Price Watch" thread if anyone sees any going at good price.

        I went to our local Ranger today for a not very good price at $479, but they did have the complete range of accessories such as LPG adapters, mains pressure adapter and bags.

            Or else you have eevry other camping accessory known to mankind and are running out of toys to buy.

              Go straight to Anaconda! They will beat the price by 10%. At least, I gather they still do this? This is exactly what I did when K-Mart last had a sale on HWOD's. All Anaconda did was ring some K-Marts to find out if they had any on the shelf. I told them which K-Mart to ring 8) . Got a good swag off the tagged Anaconda price which at that time was pushing the 1/2 price mark. They were a little annoyed to be honest, but policy is policy. 8)

                Companion Aqua Cube

                I am looking at hot water systems at the moment, and a new product is just out, called the Companion Aqua Cube, retails for $299. It's getting some top reviews apparently. Comes with gas hose and regular, and carry case...
