    Re: 150 versus kangaroo

    Shoo Roos work.
I had them fitted for my recent trip up north and over 34,000 k I saw the results. Crows would leave the road first, then wedge tail eagles and always the roos will either prop and look at you or hop away from the sound. Goats don't like them and cleared off rapidly. Cattle seem to just look at you and then and go about whatever they were doing before. Did not see many sheep up north so cannot comment on them.
In my humble opinion spending $4.99 for the chrome (read plastic chrome) they cannot hurt. They come as a pair. I stuck mine in the roo bar. I lost one in the water whilst on Ivanhoe Crossing at Kunnunurra. When just operating as a single it was way less effective.
I used superglue to hold the replacement on and even in the many water crossings from then on they stayed put.
I lost another one to a rock from a road train. Again far less effective as a single.
I did not go close to hitting anything on the trip. The $10 investment for the two sets over 6 months was well worth it.
